Winter Break

From Ms. Berghuis and I, have a great winter break!

Your homework for the break will be to read at least 20 minutes a day and look up research for our Seed curriculum.

Enjoy family, friends, and time away from school, and then come back ready to work hard.

Sweeping Pittsburgh Clean

We are reading the story Sweeping Pittsburgh Clean this week. It's the story about Nellie Bly and how she took a stand during the women's rights movement.

I hope all of you got a chance to look over your report card with your parents. We have two weeks left until winter break so push hard and try your best so you can go into the break feeling good about your work.

My family and I are very talented. Our agent gave us a call over the weekend to perform this dance routine for MTV. This is the Iverson (Von Trapp) family.

Vocabulary words for this week are:

1. feminist
2. spheres
3. Chignon
4. controversy
5. dulcet
6. reformer
7. tenement
